The founder of Kiva Han, Ed Wethli, along with Fred Smallhoover II, traveled to the remote village of Cococho, Peru to personally meet with the local coffee farmers.  In an effort to improve their lives, Kiva Han in collaboration with Three Rivers Coffee Importers, provided them with the highest price they have ever received for their green coffee crop.  As an added commitment, Three Rivers Coffee Importers will be providing on-going support to these farmers in the form of micro-loans to help them continually improve their coffee growing methods.  In the spring, Three Rivers will be sending a medical mission to the farmers' community to provide the residents with much needed vaccinations and health check-ups.  In Cococho, the number one medical issue facing the villagers is childhood malnutrition.  Kiva Han Coffee hopes to help combat this problem by offering the community a great price for their excellent coffee.  Cococho is located high in the Andes at an Altitude of 7200', receives ample rainfall, and near perfect temperatures that blesses the region with an eternal Spring.  The rich soil provides a deliciously full bodied, complex, and bright cup of coffee.  Coffee lovers are rewarded with unique floral and citrus flavors that are unlike any they have ever experienced before.
